Software Products that I Like
Image Editing and Displaying Software
Adobe Photoshop or Photoshop Elements
Almost every photo on this site has been at least moderately edited with Photoshop. I always shoot in Raw mode and edit my photos individually.

Photodex Proshow Producer and Proshow Gold
Photodex makes Prowshow Gold and Proshow Producer. For all that both programs can do, they are very reasonably priced. With Producer you can add time lines, key frames, videos and other effects to your slide shows. I’ll be adding links to my own Producer created shows soon. If you have a high speed connection you can view one here Philippines 2009 or if your connection is a bit slow, you can use this link Philippines 2009, small version
If you have never viewed a Photodex show before, you will be prompted to install a plug-in. The plug-in is small and completely safe. Photodex is a respected software company.

Photomatix Pro
Next to Photoshop, Photomatix Pro is one of my all time favorite programs. Photomatix Pro allows the creation of High Dynamic Range (HDR) photos and Exposure Blending of photos. The ideal way to use the software is to take multiple photos of a subject using exposure bracketing on your camera. Three to four images will usually be sufficient. If you have never seen an HDR photo, you can find many examples by searching on the web and you can view some examples I have here: HDR examples

Theology, Bible
Bible Navigator
I enjoy studying the Bible and Theology in general. Serious study of the Bible requires many long hours researching or good tools to reduce the time spent looking for information. Bible Navigator is an excellent tool for this. Bible Navigator includes several versions of the Bible, Strong’s Concordance, a very fast and versatile search tool, one of the best interfaces and and ease of navigation I have seen.

Utility, Networking, Web Software
FileZilla FTP Software
For me, FileZilla is easily the best FTP software I have found. There are others that are very good also, but I really like FileZilla for its features and stability. Automatically notifies me if updates are available, never loses my setting when it updates, allows me to easily create new folders (although it refers to them in old jargon – “directories”). I can drag a parent folder from my local drive to my site and all of the sub-folders and files are created exactly as they exist on my local machine. I can store multiple connections and easily select the one I want to use. The interface is editable. And the best feature is the price – it’s free!
